Some calls stay with you forever.

This Fire Prevention Month, we're sharing a call that one of our team members will never forget: helping a farmer recover after a devastating barn fire.

Farmers play a vital role in our communities, and when disaster strikes, helping them get back on their feet means supporting the families, businesses, and communities that depend on them.

Stories like this remind us why we do what we do. This Thanksgiving, we're grateful for the opportunity to help people through some of life's most difficult moments.

Wishing you a safe and happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Paul Davis. Thank you for trusting us when it matters most.

A working smoke alarm could save your life, but only if it's in the right place.

According to Statistics Canada, homes without a working smoke alarm accounted for nearly three out of four fire-related deaths.

This Fire Prevention Month, take a few minutes to test your smoke alarms and make sure they're installed where they can provide the most protection: on every level of your home, inside each bedroom, and outside sleeping areas. Replace any units that are more than 10 years old.

A few minutes today can help ensure your smoke alarms are ready when you need them most.

Did you know your home's layout can affect how quickly fire and smoke spread?

Open-concept floor plans are great for bringing families together, but fewer walls and doors can also allow fire and smoke to travel more freely throughout a home.

As heating season begins, take a few minutes to review your home's fire safety plan:
▪️ Keep 1 metre of clearance around furnaces and space heaters
▪️ Test smoke alarms on every level
▪️ Identify two ways out of every bedroom
▪️ Close bedroom doors overnight
▪️ Schedule a furnace or chimney inspection

A safer home starts with understanding the risks and taking simple steps to reduce them.

Property damage can disrupt your life in an instant. Recovering doesn't have to.

Protecting your home starts before the storm arrives.

Fall storms can develop quickly, leaving little time to react. Knowing what to do before, during, and after severe weather can help reduce damage, keep your family safe, and make recovery easier. While no one can control the weather, being prepared can make all the difference when it comes to protecting what matters most.

And if damage does occur, Paul Davis is here to help you recover with confidence.

When your home is damaged and you're not sure where to start, we help you take the first step.

Four feet of water in a basement. Drywall soaking wet.
That's the scene we often walk into, with a family standing in the middle of it all, overwhelmed and unsure of what's next.

We handle every level of a home and every type of damage. But the real work starts before anyone picks up a tool: helping people regain a sense of control and confidence. The best part isn't the demo or the drying equipment. It's handing back the keys and watching relief replace fear.

When things go wrong, we do what's right.
