Craig brings three decades of experience in the logistics industry, where he built and led sales and solutions teams across North America. His focus has always been on customer-centric solutions spanning technology, engineering, sustainability, and supply chain optimization.

Craig is now bringing that same growth mindset to an industry he’s personally passionate about: clean, renewable energy. In this role, he’ll lead our go-to-market function, marketing, and business development across VCT Group.

Last week, we hosted Mike Schreiner, Leader of the Green Party of Ontario and MPP for The City of Guelph, at our office.

What started as a tour turned into a real conversation about the state of solar in Ontario: how far the industry has come, the challenges still slowing it down, and what it would take to build out solar manufacturing right here in Ontario rather than importing it.

We also walked him through our materials and metal fabrication process for our carports, and discussed how carports are an innovative solar solution that puts underused space, like parking lots, to work generating clean power.

It's not every day you get to talk with someone shaping energy policy at Queen's Park. We left the conversation optimistic about where this industry is headed, and grateful Mike took the time to sit down with us.

Last week, we co-hosted our Summer Solstice Celebration with GrandBridge Energy. Hundreds of people gathered under our most recent Heliostation Pegasus build at Angstrom Engineering to celebrate the longest day of the year and the clean energy future we're building together.

What made the night special wasn't just the food or music, but the people. Customers, partners, and community members who genuinely care about where energy is headed and want to be part of building it. Andrew Campbell, Vice President at Angstrom Engineering, felt it too:

"It is cool to see this level of enthusiasm on a weeknight — all these people come out to support environmental initiatives and solar energy projects like this."

Angstrom is more than just a venue to us. Their facility is home to both our rooftop solar installation and the Heliostation Pegasus carport, making them a living example of what clean energy infrastructure can look like in practice.

That's the story we were standing inside on Thursday night. And it's the kind of story Brian Unrau, President of VCT Group, has spent nearly two decades working toward:

"It takes the deadest space we have, asphalt and painted lines, and turns it into a power plant that also shades your car, keeps the rain off you, and makes the whole place more humane to stand in."

Last week, VCT Group's Green Team celebrated Earth Day the best way we know how — by giving back to the community.

For the second year in a row, we hosted our free solar panel giveaway, and once again, the community showed up in a big way. Hundreds of community members lined up from our parking lot down Victoria Street, arriving in hybrids, EVs, propane vehicles, and even on foot!

Each panel we give away is one more person embracing the best renewable energy source, solar, and one more step toward a community powered by clean energy.
