Matt’s Favourite Place

We visited the Algonquin Logging Museum last week
To say Matt was in all his glory was an understatement! We have visited this museum in 2021, but as it’s a favourite, we definitely had to go again
Not pictured, was a Feller Buncher that was added to the history of logging
It was so interesting to see that they’re adding to the timeline of history throughout this museum
We can’t wait to go back again next time we go camping in Algonquin Park!

Stay cool y’all. It’s scary warm, I mean HOT out there! 🥵

UPDATE July 3, 2026:

In response to the extension of the heat warning from the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, the Kingsville Arena Cooling Station will be open to the public on Saturday, July 4, 2026 from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm.

Due to this week's heatwave, we're opening the Kingsville Arena as a Cooling Centre from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm today (June 29) through Friday (July 3). Free Wi-Fi is available.

In addition, the Kingsville Branch of the Essex County Library invites residents to cool off during their regular opening hours, Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

We want to ensure that all residents who may not have access to air conditioning are aware of the locations where they can go to cool off during this heatwave. Please stay safe and keep well-hydrated.

REMEMBER - Our Splash Pads are also a great place for kids to cool off. The Town operates two locations: Lakeside Park, 315 Queen Street, and Ridgeview Park in Cottam, 124 Fox Street. Hours of operation are 9:00 am - 9:00 pm daily.☀️
