I have had a few clients recently contact me regarding how long their grass is - and if I could cut it much shorter so it doesn't get so long.
We are in the peak growing season right now. The nights are much cooler, the days are warm and sunny, we have had a few shots of rain. The grass is super happy. And that means it wants to thrive before the cold sets in.
Add in lawns being fertilized, and watered by the homeowners regularly- grass on steroids!
Unfortunately with that, means the grass is much harder to keep up with- especially on just a weekly basis. I can only do so much to ensure it's cut right and cleaned up, and not damaging my equipment. Cutting too much off creates a mess, and can damage the turf.
It's not a long period. The grass will settle down again in a few weeks. Until then, please be patient and understand that the grass will grow long. And unless you're cutting it 2-3 times a week- it will be cut long until it slows down.
