When was the last time you tested your home for radon? The City of Kimberley is pleased to be working with Take Action on Radon to raise awareness of the dangers of radon gas and help community members protect their families from lung cancer.

Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers in BC. While it can build up in homes and workplaces, most indoor spaces still haven’t been tested. Fortunately, BC has a thriving community of advocates, public health officials, doctors, scientists, technicians and others who are working to make a difference.

BC Lung Foundation’s Annual Radon Workshop offers an opportunity to hear about new initiatives and the latest science. We have speakers from the BC Centre for Disease Control, the BC Cancer Agency, and others lined up. Best of all, its virtual and free to attend.
