After tearing into this 100 plus year old house. Witch most the deck after a few layers removed was pretty good for how old it was.its even on 4inch log rafters its that old on the original part.

New sheeting just to make it perfect for some snap lock 12 to come after the rain :)
SoTaking a break to book quotes cause this smoke is oh so bad.

The things I find some days.

I moved the pipe and range vent to the top of the roof. Now snow will never get caught behind them. Causing snow to always slide off and less damage giving you the best roof we can.

You can put on the world's best roof. But if there is not air flow. Hot air will be trapped.
The biggest cause if ice damns. Insufficient insulation or/and air flow.

Fix thr root of the problem than a new sl12 roof to keep you dry for the next 50 plus years ;)

Don't mind the hump. Some times the additions sink and others rise.
Fur out what we can. Try and roof the best we can.

New sheeting over top to match the back addition makes it new :)
Also moved a pipe and range vent so snow will never be caught up behind it.

The little things makes the big difference
