Should you have a cover over your outdoor unit? 🤔

Generally, no! In fact, the wrong kind of cover can sometimes do more harm than good by restricting the airflow your heat pump needs to operate properly.

Your outdoor unit is built to handle the elements. Instead of covering it, focus on keeping the area around it clear:

🍂 Remove leaves and debris
❄️ Clear heavy snow buildup
🌬️ Keep plenty of space around the unit for airflow
🏠 If you have an overhead shelter, make sure there’s proper clearance

When in doubt, don’t cover it up. Keep it clear!

As everyone settles back into school, work and regular routines, it’s a pretty good time to give the house a little attention too.

🍃 Outdoor units cleared of debris
💧 Plumbing checked for leaks
🚿 Water heater looking and sounding normal

Our Staff Appreciation Day was way too fun to only post about once… 🤭☀️

Good food, cold drinks, games, sunshine, a few questionable pool jumps 😂 and, most importantly, a chance to celebrate the incredible people behind White Rock Mechanical.

A huge thank you again to the local businesses who helped make the day such a good one:
