💧 Did you know radon can be found in well water?

When we think about radon, we usually think about it entering our homes through the soil beneath the foundation. But for homes that rely on groundwater or a private well, radon can also be present in the water.

🚿 When well water containing radon is used for showering, washing dishes, laundry, or other household activities, some of that radon can be released into the air inside your home.

🏠 What should homeowners know?

Testing the air in your home is still the most important first step. If your indoor radon level is elevated and your home uses a private well, testing the water may help determine whether the well is contributing to the radon level.
