This is an opportunity for someone with experience or an interest in construction, estimating, project coordination, or the utility industry who wants to build a career in powerline and civil utility construction.
Youโll work alongside our estimating, project management, and field teams and gain hands-on experience with projects from the bidding and estimating stage right through construction and project closeout.

โ Assist with preparing estimates, take-offs, pricing, and tender submissions
โ Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work
โ Request, organize, and review supplier and subcontractor pricing
โ Assist with preparing project budgets and tracking costs
โ Help with project scheduling, planning, procurement, and coordination
โ Prepare purchase orders, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation
โ Communicate with field crews, supervisors, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
โ Assist with progress billing, invoicing, and project closeout
โ Attend site visits and project meetings when required
โ Identify potential issues, follow up on outstanding items, and help keep projects moving forward

โ Experience in construction, utilities, electrical, civil construction, estimating, or project coordination is an asset
โ College diploma or university degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is an asset โ but not required
โ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
โ Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, drawings, specifications, and construction documents
โ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
โ Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
โ Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks
โ Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team
โ Valid driver's licence
โ Experience with Excel, estimating software, or project management software is an asset
โ Powerline or utility construction experience is an asset, but we're willing to train the right person.

Weโre not necessarily looking for someone who already knows everything about estimating or project management.
Weโre looking for someone who is organized, driven, willing to learn, dependable, and takes ownership of their work.
The right person will work directly with experienced estimators, project managers, and field personnel to learn how utility construction projects are estimated, planned, coordinated, and completed.
As your experience grows, so will your responsibility โ with the goal of developing into someone who can estimate and manage projects independently.
