Temporarily turning your Heat Recovery Ventilator off will help reduce smoke from entering your home during extreme cases to prevent health related issues. This can be done usually with turning off at the controller or as simple as unplugging the unit. Just be sure to turn it back on when it’s safe to do so as fresh air is important for your home’s health.
