Wildfires continue to impact communities across British Columbia including many of the places where our employees live, our teams work and Emil Anderson Group has longstanding connections.

Through EA Cares, EAG has established a dedicated Wildfire Relief Committee to help identify where support is needed and coordinate how our organization can help.

We know support can take many forms. Across our group of companies, efforts may include financial contributions, equipment, materials, services and expertise, work-in-kind, and volunteer support from our employees, allowing us to respond to the needs of communities as they emerge.

Our employees and community connections are an important part of this effort. If you know of an organization, individual, family or community initiative impacted by wildfires that may need assistance - or you're an EAG employee interested in volunteering - please contact Crystal Alseth at [email protected].

Our commitment extends beyond the immediate wildfire response. As communities move toward recovery and rebuilding, we'll continue looking for meaningful ways to help.

Emil Anderson Construction is proud to partner with the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit on the Peardonville project, part of the Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program.

The project includes replacing the existing Peardonville Road underpass, adding bike lanes and sidewalks to the new structure, improving adjacent roads at both the north and south approaches, widening approximately 1.6 kilometres of Highway 1, and adding HOV/EV and bus-on-shoulder lanes.

A huge shoutout to the Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) team for their outstanding work at Kelowna International Airport (YLW) this construction season!

Led by Will Lawlor (Project Manager), Steven Pearce (Superintendent), Connor Berno (Project Coordinator), Ty Cridland (Field Supervisor), and Jaron Burr (Field Supervisor), the team has worked tirelessly, day and night, to successfully deliver critical infrastructure improvements while meeting the airport's demanding operational schedule.

From navigating complex procurement challenges to carefully coordinating work around active airport operations, the team's dedication, flexibility, and problem-solving ensured projects progressed safely and efficiently without impacting airport traffic or the passenger experience.

Success on projects of this scale is always a team effort. A sincere thank you goes out to the entire YLW team for their partnership, collaboration, and support throughout the season, as well as to all of the subcontractors and trade partners whose hard work and commitment helped bring these projects across the finish line.

We're proud of what has been accomplished together and grateful for everyone who played a role in making this season a success.

The Abbotsford International Airport Runway Rehabilitation and Runway End Safety Area (RESA) Upgrades Project has been successfully completed.

Delivered within a two-month construction window, our crews worked around the clock while coordinating with airport authorities to keep daily operations running. Key work included removal of 20 km of joint sealant, replacement of 100 concrete runway panels, and major RESA upgrades that create a safer, more reinforced surface for both aircraft and emergency-response vehicles.

Congratulations to the entire project team on this outstanding achievement.

Recently, our crew made history in Kelowna.

After traffic was flipped onto the new KLO Bridge, we removed the original concrete structure that has served this community since 1949. Before that, a wooden bridge stood in its place dating back to 1948, until it was lost to flooding. Over 75 years of history, and our team was there for its final chapter.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved! You didn't just complete a job, you became a part of this city's story. That's something to be proud of. We can't wait to see the new bridge carry Kelowna forward for generations to come.

We're proud to share that the steep slope work at Royalview is now complete. Selected under an Early Contractor Engagement (ECE) model, our team worked alongside the City of Kelowna from the outset to develop innovative, site-specific solutions for one of the most technically demanding phases of this build, keeping the project on track and moving forward.

The Royalview Phase 1B project on Knox Mountain was built to increase water capacity for Kelowna's growing downtown population. Our team crane-placed twin 750mm DR18 watermains along 133 metres of steep hillside, drilled and blasted 522m³ of rock from the hillside and roadway, installed 50 large-diameter grouted rock anchors, and constructed two large precast concrete valve chambers at Knox Mountain and Weddell.

The result is a fully connected, high-capacity watermain system tied into the existing Royalview network, built to support Kelowna's continued growth. This is the kind of complex, detail-driven work our team does best.

Last week, our Bruhn Bridge team marked National Indigenous Peoples Day with an onsite BBQ on June 18th, 2026. A sincere thank you to the Splatsin community, Splatsin Development Corporation, the Ministry of Transportation and Transit, and our partner Aecon for celebrating with us.

Today, National Indigenous Peoples Day turns 30. Since 1996, June 21st has been a day to honour the cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples across Canada. Thirty years in, that recognition matters just as much as ever.

At Emil Anderson, we are grateful for the relationships we have built with Indigenous communities across British Columbia. This work is meaningful to us, and we know that building together, with respect and intention, leads to better outcomes for everyone.

On June 11th, the Ford to Tappen project team gathered for a well-deserved BBQ to celebrate the near-completion of one of EAC's most significant recent projects.

The 4.3 kilometre Highway 1 four-laning project will improve safety, capacity, and the movement of goods and services along one of BC's most travelled corridors, with wider shoulders, a new frontage road system, and the replacement of the Tappen Overhead Bridge. Starting in September 2023 and wrapping up in July 2026, the team is delivering months ahead of schedule.

Delivering a project of this scale takes an incredible number of people. Over 200,000 person hours of work went into this project, and it shows. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed:
