Before you put the yard to bed for winter, take a walk around your property after the next rainfall.

Where does the water collect? Is soil washing down a slope? Are pavers shifting or retaining walls showing movement? Fall can reveal problems that are easy to overlook during our hot Okanagan summers.

We've put together a guide to what homeowners should check and finish before winter arrives: https://landscapingcompanieskelowna.ca/fall-landscaping-okanagan-before-winter/

Concrete season doesn't necessarily end when summer does.

Patios, walkways, driveway sections, pads and other concrete projects may still be possible during an Okanagan fall when weather and site conditions cooperate.

The important part is not rushing the preparation just to beat winter.

Here's what homeowners should know about getting concrete work completed this fall: https://kelownaconcrete.net/index.php/2026/09/29/fall-concrete-projects-kelowna/

Fall is more than cleanup season in the Okanagan.

It's also a good time to check irrigation, drainage, grading, retaining walls and hardscaping before freezing temperatures arrive. A few issues addressed now can prevent much bigger surprises when the snow melts next spring.

Something new is on its way to Fuller's.

We've invested in specialized Italian-made crushing equipment that will allow us to process suitable concrete and rock directly at certain job sites.

For concrete removal, demolition, excavation and site preparation projects, that could mean less material being hauled away and new opportunities to reuse processed material where appropriate.

Rocky property? Existing concrete? An old retaining wall that needs to come out before the new one can go in?

These are common challenges when building retaining walls in the Okanagan.

New crushing equipment is on its way to Fuller's, giving our team the ability to process suitable material directly on certain job sites and potentially reduce unnecessary hauling.

We explain how the equipment fits into excavation, site preparation and retaining wall construction in our latest article.

Wildfire recovery isn't always about putting everything back exactly the way it was.

Rebuilding your property can also be an opportunity to improve drainage, rethink irrigation, address damaged retaining walls and create landscaping that is better suited to Okanagan conditions.

If your property has been affected by wildfire, we've put together a guide to help you understand some of the exterior restoration work that may be needed.
