TKI Mentorship Appreciation Night

We recently hosted a Building Builders Appreciation Night to celebrate the more than 20 TKI employees who have participated in the BC Construction Association (BCCA) Building Builders mentorship program.

Designed to support industry development, career growth, and industry connections, the program pairs construction professionals in meaningful mentorship relationships where they can share knowledge, gain new perspectives, and learn from one another and take advantage if training opportunities.

The evening was an opportunity to recognize the mentors and mentees who have contributed to the program’s success and celebrate the positive impact it continues to have on our team and the construction industry. We were also pleased to welcome representatives from Building Builders and Southern Interior Construction Association (SICA) to join the celebration.

A special thank you to JOEY Restaurants Kelowna for providing the food and refreshments.

Yesterday, our team wore our orange shirts in recognition of Orange Shirt Day. Today, our office and sites are closed in observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Orange Shirt Day honours the experiences of residential school survivors, remembers the children who never returned home, and recognizes the ongoing journey of healing and reconciliation.

After successfully completing her co-op placement with us while earning her Master’s in Civil Engineering at UBC Okanagan , Fiorella Reto is officially continuing her career with our team in a permanent role!

Over the course of her co-op, Fiorella became an integral part of our team, contributing to a variety of projects and making a lasting impact through her dedication, technical skills, and positive attitude. We’re thrilled that what started as a co-op opportunity has grown into the next step in her career with us.
