Vernon's new Active Living Centre is one of the most complex commercial builds in the BC Interior, and Kimco Controls is in the middle of it.

A 50-metre pool, full aquatics, double gym, and fitness centre. Behind all of it: building automation and controls that have to hold up through humidity, multi-trade coordination, and decades of daily use.

BGC Okanagan has been showing up for kids and families in this Valley for a long time. This week, we got to show up for them!

We had eleven tablets that weren't being used, and BGC could put them to work in their programs, so we passed them along. Simple as that. The people running those programs do so much with what they have, and if we can make things even a little easier, we're happy to do it.

Technology is changing the way Kimco crews work in the field.

Real-time drawings, smarter building systems, and cleaner handoffs between the office and the job site. The tools have come a long way, but we're not chasing tech for its own sake. If it makes the work smoother or the communication clearer, we pay attention. If it doesn't, it stays in the truck.

What hasn't changed: the people doing the work, the questions they ask, and seeing every job through to the end.
