Taking a look at some of our favorite outdoor spaces that we've had the opportunity to create over the years. We're so fortunate to live in the Okanagan, so when it comes to designing custom homes in a region known for its incredible summers, your outdoor space needs to be a reflection of who you are just as much as your interior spaces. From beautiful pools with breathtaking views to long tables to gather around with friends and family, building beautiful spaces that make you feel at home outside is one of the many things we love about what we do!

One of the most exciting parts of building custom homes is the opportunity to incorporate unique and special design elements into our projects. For this custom home we're building rammed earth walls, an ancient construction method brought into our modern age. Unlike traditional concrete walls, rammed earth is accomplished by creating a precise mixture of sand, cement, water, and different colored pigments and tamping it down in multiple layers to create a beautiful and earthy final product that honors the human ingenuity and creativity that has gone into building for 1000s of years. The process certainly takes more time than traditional concrete forming, but the results are sure to make the process worthwhile. Make sure to follow along as this process unfolds in the coming weeks!

Some big updates on this custom renovation in West Kelowna! Exterior stucco, cabinets, and tile are all complete and we are one step closer as we move through the finishing stages. This has been a very fun project bringing new life, energy, and function into this family home!

Thank you to all the brave men and woman fighting these fires on the ground and in the air. It's been a very intense week in the Okanagan and we are deeply appreciative of the tireless work of all those involved in the effort to get these fires under control. We know many have come from far away to assist in the effort, which is a great reminder that, when it comes to this world we all share, we are all neighbors and neighbors take care of each other. Our hearts are also with those who have been evacuated and are trying to navigate the chaos and uncertainty of this time. Please reach out to your evacuated friends and see how you can support them, and take some time to find and share local resources and businesses working to serve and assist those affected by these fires. May we all can stay safe, stay smart, and stay supportive in the coming weeks.

We could not be more excited to share this update! We're nearly across the finish line on this Westside project with only a few remaining details and touch ups before occupancy. This project has been an incredible and ambitious journey, bringing challenges and opportunities that our team met head on with enthusiasm and determination to build something truly beautiful. Big changes happening around here! Drywall is up and we're onto interior paint inside, and the exterior finishes are well underway as we prepare for stucco to commence. This has been a fantastic project updating this family home and adding a fully separate and soundproofed suite in the basement. This home has already served our clients well, and we're so happy to be part of their story ensuring it continues to serve them even better for years to come!

The finish line is so close we can almost taste it! Interior finishes are getting closer to completion and this will be a busy place for the little while with all our fantastic trades coming through and finishing up their work. This project has been a fun challenge to take in and we're so pleased with how it's all coming together!

Take a walk through this exciting renovation project in West Kelowna! This home is undergoing a dramatic transformation and getting some much needed structural upgrades. The original deck off the front of the house offered no slope or overhang above the garage, making proper water drainage a major issue. .construction removed the original deck framing, added new structural support in the garage below, and framed in a new larger deck with proper slope and water drainage, and installed the torch-on water proof membrane that will sit underneath a beautiful floating tile finish. We have a lot of exciting updates coming up on this project so make sure you stay tuned and follow along!
