Fatigue can affect concentration, reaction time, judgment, and our ability to recognize hazards. Pay attention to the signs of fatigue, take appropriate breaks, stay hydrated, and speak up if tiredness is affecting your ability to perform a task safely.

Being fit for work means being ready to make good decisions from the beginning of the day to the end. Rested workers make better decisions.

Good communication is an important part of every job. When instructions, hazards, or changes in the work plan aren’t clear, small misunderstandings can create unnecessary risk.

Ask questions when you are unclear, confirm important information, and make sure everyone involved understands the plan before work begins.

🛑 Right to Refuse Unsafe Work

Everyone has the right to refuse work they reasonably believe is unsafe. If a task, piece of equipment, or work condition puts you or others at risk, stop and report the concern to your supervisor.

Unsafe work should always be investigated and hazards addressed before continuing with the job. Speaking up isn't about slowing down the work, it is about making sure the work can be done safely.

Your voice matters. Know your rights, speak up and stay safe.
