Hi Everyone,

The Gabel Team is looking to hire some snow shovelers for the upcoming snowfalls this weekend, as well as the rest of February if necessary.

Duties

Snow Removal: Clear snow from designated areas according to your snow removal booklet provided by your supervisor.
De-icing: Apply salt to designated areas according to the snow removal booklet provided by your supervisor.
Attention to Detail: Ensure all areas are thoroughly cleared without causing damage to the property (lawn, plants, driveways, etc.)
Reporting: Communicate completion of jobs and report any issues to your supervisor as soon as possible.

Schedule

On-call Availability: You will be expected to be available for work during snow events, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Start Time: Shifts typically start as early as 5am on snow days.
Responding to Calls: You will receive notice of your shift as soon as snowfall begins. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date and that you are reachable during the winter season.
Skills

Experience in snow plowing or snow removal techniques is preferred.
Ability to dig effectively and efficiently in various conditions.
Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods in cold weather conditions.
A commitment to safety practices while working outdoors.
We expect all team members to:

Provide high-quality service to all customers.
Be respectful and courteous when interacting with clients and fellow employees.
Show initiative in ensuring properties are safe and cleared.
Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors when necessary.
Join our team this winter season and play a crucial role in keeping our community safe and accessible!

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $37.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 20 per week

Hello! Gabel Team here. We are currently looking for a new Foreman / Forewoman on our construction team. This position entails running a crew of up to 3 people at a time, with our Landscape Design Specialist providing design blueprints and conducting project management. You would be a great fit for this position if you have:

* 5+ years of landscape construction experience minimum
* Experience in building retaining walls and other hardscape components
* Must have a Class 5 Drivers License
* Experience with heavy equipment such as Bobcats, Dingo/Ditch Witch, Excavators
* Great attitude and motivated to learn and grow with our family-owned business
* Willing to work closely with our Design Specialist to work as a team throughout the Spring-Fall
* Great communication skills

We are looking for individuals to join our snow removal team for this upcoming winter season! This includes hand shoveling a variety of properties during snowfalls. Driver's license and reliable transportation is required for this position. The job entails clearing walkways and entrances at common properties in the Kelowna area. This position has early morning starts and is an on-call position depending on the weather predictions. Experience is an asset, but not necessary. Must be physically able to work in winter conditions. We would love for you to join our team! Starting at $33.00/hour and is part-time.
