Sometimes the most magical nights are the ones you could never plan. ✨💍

Last night, a power outage left The Saucy Willow Inn in darkness — but it also gave us the most incredible star-filled sky. With virtually no lights around us, the lake and property were transformed into something pretty spectacular. 🌌

And then the night became even more special…

Under that beautiful starry sky, one of our guests decided it was the perfect moment to pop the question! 💍❤️ And she said YES!

For Dave and I, it felt especially meaningful as we were also celebrating 35 years of marriage. To witness the beginning of someone else’s forever while celebrating 35 years of our own was one of those wonderful little full-circle moments.

No power. No bright lights. Just stars, love, a lakeside proposal and a reminder that sometimes the unexpected creates the best memories. ❤️

Congratulations to the newly engaged couple — and here’s to the beginning of your own 35+ years together! 🥂✨
