🌲 Built for lasting character.
There are homes that follow trends — and homes designed to stand the test of time.
The Larch Cottage belongs in the second category.
Its timber frame construction brings warmth, strength, and enduring visual character to a flexible two-bedroom floor plan.
Whether nestled into a mountain landscape, surrounded by forest, or built in another setting entirely, its efficient design adapts beautifully to its surroundings.
As a timber frame kit, The Larch Cottage combines the appeal of handcrafted timber construction with a practical, flexible approach to building.
A home doesn't need to be enormous to leave a lasting impression.
Sometimes, thoughtful design is what makes all the difference.
The Larch Cottage: timeless by design.

The Great Room

The heart of the Timber Ridge Residence is its Great Room.

Exposed timber rises into the vaulted ceiling, framing a dramatic wall of glass overlooking the lake and mountains. On the opposite side of the room, the large stone fireplace gives the space permanence and warmth.

The architecture also carries a clear Gothic Revival influence. The steep roof geometry, tall proportions and pointed timber arches create a sense of height and drama without making the room feel formal or imposing.

One of our favourite elements is the relationship between the Great Room and the loft above. Rather than separating the levels completely, the timber structure connects them visually and keeps the central portion of the home open.

It is exactly what timber framing does so well: the structure becomes part of the experience of the home.

🏡 Designed for the way life changes.
A truly thoughtful home should work not only for where you are today, but for where life may take you tomorrow.
The Larch Cottage incorporates accessibility into the design without sacrificing warmth or character.
The main floor includes:
• Primary bedroom
• Bathtub
• Wide doorways
• Open-concept living
The lower level adds another bedroom, full bathroom, and a flexible rec room that can adapt to different needs.
And for those who need more space, an optional third bedroom can be added downstairs.
This is flexible design with longevity in mind — creating a home that can evolve alongside the people who live in it.

Project Feature: Timber Ridge Residence 🏡
There are homes that sit on a property, and there are homes that feel as though they belong there.

The Timber Ridge Residence was designed around its remarkable mountain and lake setting, combining traditional timber frame construction with subtle Gothic Revival influences.

The steeply pitched gables, pointed timber arches and strong vertical lines give the home a distinctive character, while the dark exterior siding and warm natural timber connect the architecture to the surrounding landscape.
The residence includes approximately 3,747 sq. ft. of developed living space, along with extensive covered decks and outdoor areas positioned to make the most of the views.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more of the architecture, timber details and interior spaces that make this residence unique.

🌿 Where the indoors meets the outdoors.
One of the defining features of The Larch Cottage is the way it brings outdoor living into everyday life.
Large windows open the main living space to natural light and views, while the covered porch and timber frame deck provide additional space to gather, dine, relax, or simply enjoy the surroundings.
The kitchen, dining, and living areas work together as one welcoming space — making it easy to stay connected whether you're cooking dinner, sharing a meal, or enjoying a quiet morning.
Because great cottage living isn't about being inside or outside.
It's about making the transition between the two feel effortless.
