With spring quickly approaching, we were contacted by Madge Lake Bible Camp to come and open things up so they can start doing preparations for the upcoming season. It’s been a very busy winter with our commercial snow removal operations as we had above average snowfall this winter. We are looking forward to starting spring projects.

The last couple of days were spent on a different kind of job out at the park. We were hired by a company to collect and stack these logs. In order to do that, we had to remove a lot of snow in order to find the trees. These trees were cut down because the tops were dead (aka widowmakers), they were causing a public safety risk for people using the disc golf course and the kids’ playground area. We were happy to be a part of this project and we’re very much looking forward to spring.

A quick look at some of the projects we’ve been working on this fall! It’s been an incredibly busy season, and we’re working hard to get to all our clients before the year wraps up. This has been our busiest fall yet.

That’s a wrap on this landscaping project! We built them river stone drainage along the side yard next to the paver pad we previously built. We made a flat stone walkway from the garage to the paver pad as well as a gravel driveway. We tied everything in together with screened topsoil and rocks. Now all that is left to do is seed it. We are beyond happy with how this landscaping project turned out!

Before and after on this landscaping project. It’s been very trying to finish this project with all the rain we’ve been getting but we managed to get the final grading and landscaping finished. We are very happy with how this project turned out.

Finished the landscaping at the new Kamkids Daycare. Lots of work went into this project in order to achieve proper drainage. First we had to very carefully remove these stumps as they were located directly over the utilities going into the property. Once they were removed we were able to dig out all of the overgrowth in order to have a clean slate. We added positive drainage all along the building and leveled the rest of the yard. We are very happy with how this project turned out!

Over the past week we have been busy working on this new build. Racing the storms and working through the rain in order to keep this project on schedule. We did the base prep for the concrete with Joel and his crew from Checkmate Concrete. Then we trenched in all the infloor plumbing, as well as dug under the forms to install the future sewer and water lines with the guys from P & J Plumbing & Heating Ltd. This pad is almost ready for concrete now.

We’ve been involved in this project since the beginning. Now that the inside of the shop has been completed, we got to come in and do the finish landscaping. We first removed all the weeds and overgrowth. Followed by building the ramps at both entrances. Then finished by grading so that the shop has positive drainage.

While the bridge was out for repairs, it was a good time to fix the road for the Rural Municipality of Cote #271. We began by digging up the soft spots to reveal clay, laying down geotextile fabric, and subsequently backfilling with new gravel. Thank you Kam-Crete Ltd for delivering all the necessary materials to the site.

Wow what a busy couple days but this transformation looks amazing! The car port used to have old cracked concrete in it, which was removed by another contractor. We started by marking everything out with string lines, then placed and compacted the base. Next we screeded the sand and started placing the paving stones. Once the stones were all placed we installed snap edging, filled in all the cracks with polymeric sand and wet it all down. The customers are very pleased with how this project is turning out, so much so they sent us a photo last night of it lit up with solar lights. There is still more landscaping to be done in the front yard which we will come back to complete as soon as we can.

Today we built these customers some additional parking space. We started the process by clearing the space of all waste materials. Then we placed and compacted gravel to build the area up in order to make it level. We finished off by adding a layer of clean stone and placed the concrete pavers back on the nicely leveled pad.
