💧 The 007 of leak detection has entered the cabinet.

Because water damage does not always arrive with dramatic music.

Sometimes it starts with one tiny leak under the sink. Quiet. Sneaky. Acting innocent while it plans a very expensive future.

That is where water sensors come in.

Placed under sinks, behind appliances, near hot water tanks, in basements, crawl spaces, or anywhere a slow leak could hide, water sensors can help alert you before a small drip turns into a bigger water damage restoration job.

Think of them as your home’s undercover leak detector.

Small. Quiet. Very committed to exposing suspicious puddles.

And if your sensor catches something, or you already see signs of water damage, First General Kamloops can help with drying, cleanup, emergency restoration, and water damage restoration.

A small alert today can help prevent a big mess tomorrow.

The muddy paws? Apparently unrelated.
The carpet spots? Mysterious.
The innocent face? Oscar-worthy.
The evidence? Unfortunately, all over the carpet.

Whether it was the dog, the kids, or a full family collaboration, your carpet is usually the one left holding the proof.

Pets make a house feel like home, but carpets and area rugs can hold onto dirt, muddy paw prints, stains, pet odours, and those little “someone had fun outside” reminders.

Vacuuming helps with the surface, but professional carpet cleaning gets deeper into the fibres to help remove built-up dirt, stains, and trapped odours.

First General Kamloops offers professional carpet cleaning and area rug cleaning in Kamloops, helping homes look cleaner, smell fresher, and recover from the occasional four-legged cover-up.

Ready for a carpet reset? Call First General Kamloops to book professional carpet cleaning.

Fall home maintenance is not glamorous, but neither is finding water in your basement at 10 PM. 🍂

Before the heavy rain, cold weather, and heating season settle in, take a few minutes to check the spots around your home that can lead to bigger problems later.

- Clean gutters and downspouts.
- Check for water pooling near your foundation.
- Inspect your roof and siding.
- Look for damp smells or stains in the basement.
- Check appliances and your hot water tank for leaks.
- Test your smoke and CO detectors.

Small checks now can help prevent water damage, mold issues, fire risks, and costly surprises later.

And if something already went sideways, First General Kamloops can help with water damage restoration, mold remediation, emergency restoration, and restoration repairs in Kamloops and surrounding areas.

Water damage rarely waits for a convenient time.

Sometimes it happens in the middle of the night, when the house is quiet, everyone is tired, and suddenly you are staring at a problem that needs help now.

That is why reviews like this mean so much.

Edward shared that Farzad answered the call in the middle of the night, showed up with a smile, and helped make a stressful situation feel less daunting.

That is the kind of service every homeowner hopes for when something goes wrong.

At First General Kamloops, we help with emergency water damage cleanup and repair, water damage restoration, flood cleanup, drying, cleanup, and repairs when the unexpected hits.

Because when your home is dealing with water damage, you do not just need equipment.

🔥 Fire safety is one of those things that feels boring until it really, really is not.

A frayed cord. An overloaded outlet. A candle near decorations. A grill too close to siding. A space heater surrounded by blankets like it is trying to make a point.

Small habits can help prevent big damage.

Check cords, test smoke detectors, keep heat sources away from anything flammable, clean grease trays and give appliances and heaters the space they need.

And if the unexpected happens, First General Kamloops provides fire and smoke damage cleanup services, odour removal and emergency restoration in Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Merritt, Clearwater, Chase and surrounding areas.

Have fun. Stay safe.

Pets make a house feel like home. 🐾

The couch cuddles.
The excited tail wags.
The little nose prints on the window.

We love them for all of it.

But sometimes, even the most loved homes can hold onto pet odours, especially in carpets, area rugs, furniture, flooring and the spaces where our furry family members spend the most time.

And no, this does not mean your home is dirty.

It means life happens. Pets happen. Accidents happen. Wet fur happens. And sometimes, regular cleaning is not enough to fully remove the smell from deep within the surfaces.

First General Kamloops provides professional odour removal service for homes in Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Merritt, Clearwater, Chase and surrounding areas.

Our team helps find the source, clean properly and deodorize the space using professional equipment and methods, so your home can feel fresh again.

Love your pets. Love your home. Lose the smell.

Ready for a fresher space? Call First General Kamloops.

If you notice pooling water, damp basement smells, stains, or signs of moisture, First General Kamloops can help with professional water damage restoration, flood cleanup and mold remediation.
