Work is now underway on the Newsome Creek Infrastructure Improvements Project in .

Crews have begun clearing operations in preparation for upcoming work near the creek. As construction progresses, equipment and project personnel will be visible throughout the area.

The project includes installation beneath , along with channel reconstruction, slope stabilization, and environmental restoration work designed to improve water management and reduce erosion risks.

Crews are back at work in Fraser Lake, where Dawson Civil is advancing the next stage of a major infrastructure improvement project.

This season, the team has already installed 110 metres of storm main and completed two manholes. Crews are currently working on catch basins and service leads along Tunasa Drive before moving to Tunasa Crescent and Carrier Crescent, where additional storm infrastructure will be installed.

As construction continues, work will also include hydrant removals, road excavation, gravel reconstruction, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and yard restorations throughout the project area.

A recent visit to Gibraltar Mine gave Dawson Civil Business Development Manager Shane Gowans the opportunity to experience Canada's second-largest open-pit copper mine firsthand.

From classroom presentations and site tours to standing beside some of the largest equipment operating in Canada, the visit offered a unique perspective on the scale and complexity of modern mining operations.
