It was a pleasure working on this beautiful heritage home downtown Kamloops. Built in 1924, it features the original hardwood floors consisting of old growth Douglas Fir and oak. I think I actually fell in love with this house while restoring the flooring. The craftsmanship in this build is so well done, including the hardware.
Unfortunately this will be the last time the floors will be able to be refinished. So keeping it traditional we went with a medium tint and added our epoxy base layer between coatings. I don't know if they'll last another 100 years but here's to hoping.

Photos of our recent project. This involved a custom hidden trap door in the hardwood during the new install and a complete overhaul of the existing flooring in the kitchen/ living room. We got to design this inlay that uses walnut, oak and epoxy for a repair around the fridge. We love it.

Ya, that was hiding under there. We added an oak border with maple inlays to separate the rooms, laced in multiple spots with recycled material, and finished it with Bona oil for a base layer and bona Extra Matte finish. Maybe it'll last another century, who knows.
