⭐ February Safety Recognition ⭐

Our February Safety Recognition goes to Matt, our mechanic, for demonstrating outstanding hazard awareness and leadership in the shop.

Matt took the initiative to secure and close off the shop area during welding activities, ensuring workers could not enter the area without knowing hot work was taking place. This simple but critical action helps prevent exposure to welding hazards such as sparks, fumes, and arc flash.

Matt has also been consistently diligent in ensuring proper Lock Out / Tag Out procedures are in place, helping protect everyone working around equipment and machinery.

Safety is built through actions like these. Looking out for one another and taking the extra step to control hazards before they become incidents.

Great work, Matt. Your commitment helps keep our team safe every day. 👏

Last week, our Civil and Environmental leadership teams came together to complete 15 hours of Safety Leadership Training in preparation for the 2026 construction season.

At Sun Ridge Contracting, safety starts long before boots hit the ground. Investing in our leaders ensures our crews return home safely every day while maintaining the highest standards across all of our projects.

We’re proud to head into the 2026 season aligned, prepared, and committed to safety excellence.

Here’s to a safe and successful construction season ahead.
