⭐ February Safety Recognition ⭐

Our February Safety Recognition goes to Matt, our mechanic, for demonstrating outstanding hazard awareness and leadership in the shop.

Matt took the initiative to secure and close off the shop area during welding activities, ensuring workers could not enter the area without knowing hot work was taking place. This simple but critical action helps prevent exposure to welding hazards such as sparks, fumes, and arc flash.

Matt has also been consistently diligent in ensuring proper Lock Out / Tag Out procedures are in place, helping protect everyone working around equipment and machinery.

Safety is built through actions like these. Looking out for one another and taking the extra step to control hazards before they become incidents.

We’re proud to recognize Justin Fl***ra as this month’s Safety Appreciation Recipient! Justin has been consistently putting safety first and setting a strong example for everyone around him. From taking the time to complete thorough pre-trips, to carefully inspecting safety gear, to walking through potential hazards with new and young workers. His commitment to doing the job right never goes unnoticed.

As the Lead Hand for Sun Ridge Environmental, Justin wears many hats. You’ll find him driving and operating the hydrovac, running all types of equipment at the SRE yard, and even supporting sales. He does this all while keeping safety at the forefront of everything he does.

Thanks for leading by example, Justin, and for helping build a safer workplace for our entire team. We appreciate you! 💪🦺
