Every project begins with questions.

How should the home function five years from now?
Which spaces no longer serve the family?
Where can we create more calm, flow and purpose within the existing footprint?

For this project, the first phase focused entirely on layout and functionality. Reworking how the primary suite connects and flows together before a single finish is selected.

A former bedroom is being transformed into a walk-in closet as the family’s needs evolve. Existing closets are being removed to create a more open and intentional primary bedroom layout. The bathroom footprint is expanding to allow for a completely reimagined layout.

These early decisions may not be the most visually exciting part of a renovation, but they often shape your home the most.

We’re so excited to bring you into one of our next projects... our own primary ensuite!

We’re currently in the early stages, working through the layout and dividing the room into a few functional zones that will better support our day-to-day routines. We’re starting to shape the design direction as well, with plans for a custom curved vanity, paired with gold sconces. And if all goes to plan, we’d love to incorporate a vintage antique mirror!

Hey there! 👋🏼 I’m Jon Graham, the General Contractor at Lagom Design & Build. I’ve spent the past 17 years working in the construction industry, with experience ranging from framing and home builds to brick laying and heavy equipment operation. For more than 10 years prior to founding Lagom Design & Build, I worked as a site supervisor on large-scale projects, overseeing complex builds and coordinating trades on active job sites.

Since 2015, I’ve focused on renovating and rebuilding homes with an emphasis on quality workmanship, well-run sites, and clear communication. I believe a thoughtfully managed build leads to better results—and a better experience for our clients.

Hi Friends! 👋🏼 I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, I’m Sam Graham, the Principal Designer & Project Manager at Lagom Design & Build. I’ve spent the past 10 years specializing in project management, leading large-scale projects and managing teams for municipalities and financial institutions. That experience shapes how I approach each project today—with clarity, organization, and a thoughtful, well defined process. Alongside this work, I followed my passion for interior design through a blend of self-directed learning, continued education, and hands-on experience across full remodels.

My design work is grounded in a strong understanding of construction, allowing ideas to be both creative and practical.
