🦺 Progress at The Lawren

There’s no shortage of rock beneath the surface here in Muskoka — and as excavation continues at The Lawren, our team has been busy chipping away at some of the boulders standing between us and the next stage of construction. 🪨

It’s all part of the process of bringing the final residential building at Campus Trails to life.

Day by day, boulder by boulder, the site continues to take shape — and with every bit of progress, we’re one step closer to seeing The Lawren rise. 🏗️

We’re excited to keep sharing the transformation as construction moves forward.

🚧 Digging Deep at Campus Trails, Huntsville

There’s no shortage of rock when you’re building in Muskoka — and at The Lawren, we’re getting right into the Canadian Shield.

Excavation is making steady progress as our crews continue preparing the site for the next phase of construction. Building into this landscape takes the right equipment, careful coordination, and a whole lot of experience — especially when the foundation of your project starts with solid Muskoka rock.

A big shoutout to P.Medley & Sons and Josh Mcdermott & Sons Ltd. for their instrumental work alongside our team throughout the excavation process. Projects like this are a team effort, and having skilled, dependable people on site makes all the difference.

A lot happens before a building ever starts rising above grade. We’ll keep sharing the work that gets us there 👀

⛳ A great day on the course for an even better cause!

Nat & Chris were out representing the Greystone team at Deerhurst Highlands Golf Course for the Huntsville Curling Club’s 12th Annual Swing For The Rings Fundraising Golf Tournament.

We were proud to participate in — and sponsor — this year’s tournament, with proceeds supporting the Huntsville Curling Club’s efforts to make their building fully accessible for our community.

A big thank you to the organizers, sponsors, golfers, and everyone who helped make the day a success. We’re always happy to get behind initiatives that help strengthen the communities where we live and build.

Progress continues at The Breeze. 🏗️

With each stage of construction, this beachfront condominium development on Callander Bay continues to take shape — and rise.

As the structure reaches higher, we’re proud to see the continued progress being made on site through the coordination, expertise and hard work of the teams involved in bringing this project forward.

Projects of this scale are built milestone by milestone, and it’s rewarding to see that work becoming increasingly visible with every visit to the site.

We look forward to sharing more from The Breeze as construction continues.

Happy Canada Day from the Greystone team 🇨🇦

There’s nowhere that we’d rather be than right here.

Every project gives us the opportunity to spend our days surrounded by the lakes, forests, and communities that make this part of Canada so special. It’s a privilege we never take for granted, and one we’re proud to help shape through thoughtful design and construction.

Wishing you a fun, relaxing Canada Day spent with the people and places you love.

We’re proud to share that Greystone has achieved COR® Certification - a nationally recognized standard for health and safety in the construction industry 🦺

COR® (Certificate of Recognition) is awarded to companies that demonstrate a fully developed, implemented, and audited health and safety management system. Achieving certification requires a comprehensive review of company policies, procedures, training programs, hazard assessments, incident response planning, and ongoing safety practices - all verified through a rigorous external audit.

For our team, this certification reflects the work we put in every day to create safe, accountable job sites. It means our systems are in place to identify risks, prevent incidents, and ensure that everyone on our projects - from our own team to subcontractors and partners - goes home safe at the end of the day.

A big thank you to our team for the dedication and diligence it takes to make safety a priority on every project 🤝

Greystone is proud to partner with the District Municipality of Muskoka and Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North to help deliver safe, attainable, and sustainable housing on the former Bracebridge Memorial Arena lands.

Projects like this show what’s possible when municipalities and builders work together to address the housing crisis head-on. We’re ready to get to work. 🏗️🏡

The Town of Bracebridge is taking a significant step forward in delivering new affordable housing in the downtown core. Following today’s Council ratification, the redevelopment of the former Memorial Arena site will advance to the next stage of negotiations, bringing forward a proposal that could deliver approximately 90 to 108 new residential rental units, including a minimum 25% affordable housing component in each building.

The recommended proposal includes:
➡️ Two multi-unit residential buildings;
➡️ Approximately 90 to 108 total residential units (subject to planning approvals);
➡️ A minimum of 25% affordable units in each building;
➡️ Secured affordability terms through agreement;
➡️ Accessible and barrier-free units exceeding minimum standards; and
➡️ Potential inclusion of children’s programming space and neighbourhood enhancements.

This cooperative model enables the Town to leverage municipal land to support affordable housing delivery while limiting long-term financial exposure.

With Council’s ratification, staff are now authorized to enter into negotiations and finalize definitive agreements with the preferred proponent.
