Hello to the beautiful community of Hope, British Columbia, and the surrounding areas.

British Columbia Stabilization and Geo-Rope are scheduled to resume work on the Odlum Bluff Stabilization Project on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Phase 4 is expected to continue until approximately August 12, 2026, with the possibility of completing the work earlier.

To support local events and reduce disruption to the community, the Ministry of Transportation and Transit has directed that there will be no traffic interruptions on July 25, August 1, or August 2. Work will continue on the remaining days, including Sundays.

Please be advised that helicopter operations are scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, and Friday, July 31, beginning at approximately 6:00 a.m. During these operations, mesh will be flown into place and the highway will require full closures of up to 20 minutes at a time. We appreciate the patience and understanding of local residents, commuters, and businesses during these early-morning operations.

Phase 4 will include completing the remaining rock bolts, installing the mesh on the new attenuator mesh system, finishing the required site work, and demobilizing our crews and equipment.

British Columbia Stabilization and Geo-Rope are proud to be part of this important project and to help make this section of highway safer for local residents, visitors, and their families.

Please follow all posted speed limits and the directions of the traffic-control team while travelling through the work zone.

Thank you, Hope, for your continued patience and support. Please share this notice with anyone who may be travelling through the area, and follow us for future project updates.

Texas Creek Slope Stabilization.

The rock never stops moving out there. It was steep, it was hot, and it was dangerous work in active slide terrain.

Canada’s most consistent rockfall zone.

That is where we were.

Unstable ground. Active movement. Rock coming down without warning. The kind of place that reminds you real quick why this trade demands respect

We walked into it with a plan. We trusted our systems. We trusted each other.

we walked out with zero injuries. Zero incidents. Zero compromise.

That does not happen by luck.

It happens because of a small, disciplined crew who refuse to cut corners. Because of a rockfall watch who never blinks. Because of rock scalers who stay calm under pressure. Because of operators who move steel like it is an extension of their own hands.

We got in. We handled business. We protected critical infrastructure. And then we went home to our families.

That is the standard.

Now let me tell you about the ones who made it happen.

We’re back on Highway 12. one of the most challenging stretches of road in B.C., with sheer rock faces and a history of extreme rockfall hazards.

Our team is working hard to make this corridor safer for everyone who travels it. We understand the inconvenience of closures, and we truly appreciate your patience while we do this critical work.

For up-to-date closure details, please check DriveBC.

🚧 Rockfall Hazard Warning 🚧

These road signs are posted to alert drivers to rockfall zones across British Columbia and Canada, areas where rocks can fall suddenly from steep slopes above.

With rain in the forecast, these zones become even more active. Please drive with caution, especially through mountainous and canyon areas. Keep your eyes on the road and watch for fallen rock or debris.

⚠️ Do not stop in these marked zones, even briefly.

Stay safe everyone.

Another Successful Project Completed! 💪

Our team, proudly a division of Kan-Arm Contracting, has successfully completed a major slope stabilization project on Highway 99, between Lillooet and Pemberton.

We completed the work in 35 working days.

This stretch of highway was under constant threat from rockfall off a 400-foot slope above, putting lives and infrastructure at serious risk. Through hard work, expertise, and teamwork, we’ve made this corridor safer for everyone who travels it.

Proud to play our part in building a stronger, safer British Columbia.
