There’s a reason you’ll find ecobee thermostats in some of our own homes.

The ecobee Smart Thermostat can send low-temperature alerts, giving you another way to know when the temperature at home isn’t where it should be.

That can be especially useful during our Alberta winters. If you receive an alert and your furnace isn’t keeping up, you can check what’s happening and know when it’s time to call an HVAC technician.

We have the ecobee Smart Thermostats available in the shop.

Call us if you’d like more information about the thermostat or adding one to your home.

Around the shop, October has a bit of a reputation.

It’s gas fireplace season.

This is the time of year when the calls start picking up from homeowners getting their fireplaces checked, serviced, or ready to use before colder weather settles in.

For many people, the fireplace comes on before the furnace is running regularly, so October becomes a busy month for gas fireplace service.

If yours hasn’t been looked at in a while, now is a good time to get it booked in.

Give us a call to schedule your gas fireplace service!

AC installation doesn’t have to happen in the middle of summer.

Even as the temperatures start to cool down in Hinton, an AC system can still be installed and set up so it’s ready when warmer weather comes around again.

For some homeowners, taking care of it in the fall simply means one less thing to think about next spring or summer.

So if AC was on the list this year but never quite happened, you don’t necessarily have to wait until next summer to revisit it.

Before you jump to “I need a whole new system,” there’s a quick check worth doing first.

Swipe through for a simple 60-second walkthrough: check your thermostat settings, inspect the filter, and listen for unusual sounds at the unit. A lot of performance issues come down to something small and fixable, not a full replacement.

Still not sure after checking? That’s exactly what we’re here for.
