Saskatchewan ‘Land of living skies’ did not disappoint!
Mark spent 3 weeks and Arlo and Travis spent a dozen days in the Perdue area working on buttoning up Nicole and Hugh’s new log home.
Mark finished up the Carpentry on the roof during his week alone. Upon being joined by the rest of his crew things jumped ahead substantially.
Art Ledrew made an appearance and his prowess with metalwork helped with the speedy application of sheet metal to this wonderful home.
Gables were insulated and vapour barrier applied with Pine T&G applied to finish them off smartly.
A bedroom and bathroom were framed and partitioned with the same pine T&G to create a cosy main floor living space.
Temporary windows and doors
were created to close off the building. To finish the trip off a beautiful wood cook stove was installed chimney and all today, and the boys are sitting inside enjoying the fruits of their labours.
Thanks so much for your kind hospitality to Nicole and Hugh! It was a beautiful experience out here on your little piece of paradise.
