Hard to believe this one is coming to an end. Just over 6 months and I am turning over the keys to our super happy and excited clients so they can officially move in! I'm really proud of this house. Lots of time spent planning all the little details that went into creating this entire place and I couldn't be happier with how it all came together. It's always a little stressful when the client picks finishes that you aren't used to seeing a lot of but Kayla and Scott you guys sure made some great decisions in here and it all came together beautifully.

Thank you for trusting me to build your dream home! I know that you guys will make a lot of great memories here In the years to come and I'm happy that we could play a small part in it!

As always credit is given where credit is due and I'm lucky to have such a great team of subcontractors to have my back!

That's officially a wrap on the exterior of our in Headingly until we come back to do the parging around the bottom once it warms up in a bit! We still have some rough grading to do and we will complete the stairs and handrail on the back deck once that's all finished up. Really happy with how this all turned out. Love the way all the colors came together between the timbers the horizontal siding and the shake and it's hard to really do this place justice in a picture without a bunch of trees in the way! Huge thanks to everyone that played a part in making this happen

And last but definitely not least from BI Builders for the unreal ex*****on of basically everything you see here. I learned really quickly that I could be the nicest and most knowledgeable guy out there but a good general contractor is really only as good as the team of sub contractors behind them and Brett and the boys really knocked this one out of the park! Ive known Brett since we were kids and I can't describe how valuable it is have a guy around who can deliver the level of craftsmanship that I expect, will jump in and give me a hand with something I'm personally working on and doesn't get mad when I throw myself into the mix on his crew to speed something up or because it just looks fun. In a few short weeks he will be gearing up to start the next two for us and I can't wait buddy 👊

Finished pictures of the inside coming very shortly! Hit a bit of a delay with the install of the kitchen backsplash but stay tuned this one is going to knock your socks off!

Cant believe its been a year since we posted a picture!

What better way to get back into it with a couple new builds coming up and I figured I would start by introducing myself! My name is Steve and I am the owner and lead carpenter at Steve Collins Contracting LTD . I am 30 years old and I have been a carpenter for 10 of them. I got my red seal ticket back in 2015 and started the company in the spring of 2018. We have had the privilege to work on some amazing projects and meet some great customers over the years and I am excited to keep things going with our friendly customer service and top craftsmanship!

Social media is an important part of our industry because like the old saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words so I am going to do my best to keep things up to date and cant wait to show you all of the cool stuff we have coming up this year!

Just finished up this barnboard entertainment center and fireplace!

There was already an existing coloum so we just wrapped it with the roughsawn pine and some brick and turned the boring old coloum into a cool feature of this basement.

Really pumped about how this island with the roughsawn timber raised bar is finishing out! I remember milling these oak slabs up last year on a real sketchy homemade sawmill with a 5ft blade turned by a tractor PTO wondering if almost dying for them was going to be worth it. I can tell you that it definately was not but these ones found a good home and are looking awesome!
