One project couldn't start working until the other one was ready.

At Durham Region’s Harmony Creek Sewage Pumping Station in Oshawa, timing was everything.

The new pumping station had to be fully operational before the downstream Courtice Water Pollution Control Plant could come online. That meant two major infrastructure projects, being delivered by different contractors, had to hit the same finish line.

The $11.55 million project included a new sewage pumping station, major inlet and overflow sewers, a 6.2 km underground conveyance system connection, standby power, and controls. ASCO delivered the project on time and within budget — a result that helped earn the 2008 OPWA Public Works Project of the Year award, shared with the Courtice WPCP project.

Some projects are about what you build. Others are about how well everything around them comes together.

🎓 Congratulations, Dr. Barbara Asantewaa Aboagye!

We’re proud to celebrate Barbara on earning her PhD!

Her research explored how to make sustainable concrete smarter and stronger, bringing together civil engineering, material testing, and data analysis to help advance more sustainable solutions for the construction industry.

After years of research, countless hours in the lab, and plenty of sand and Python code, Barbara can officially add Dr. to her name!

We’re excited to celebrate this incredible achievement and see where this next chapter takes her. 👏🎉

Every detail was built to standard.

ASCO delivered the new Gateway Toyota dealership in Kingston, a 26,000 square-foot facility built to meet the strict requirements of the Toyota Corporate Image Program.

The finished space includes an eight-car showroom, eight mechanical bays, two wash bays, a service drive-thru, a rust proofing bay, and administrative offices set on a structural steel mezzanine, along with the surrounding site development work.

From layout to finish, precision mattered at every stage.
