Your neighbour isn’t losing it… promise 😂

If you see a box on a roof or near a tree — no, it’s not a by accident.

It’s actually a reunite box 🦝💛

When babies are found in an attic, then carefully placed in a safe, warm box so mom can come back and move them to a new den.

So if you spot the “mystery raccoon box”…
just know someone’s out here doing a solid for wildlife 👏

Baby raccoon season is here !

Raccoons give birth April–June
If you hear scratching in your attic, it’s often a mother with babies — not just one.

⚠️ Blocking the entry can trap babies inside
⚠️ Waiting = more damage

Humane removal is key — mom + babies safely relocated, then proper prevention.

🦨🖤 Skunks aren’t “bad” neighbors — they’re just wild ones.

Here’s how they actually help around your home:

• Eat lawn-destroying grubs
• Reduce beetles, wasps & other insects
• Help control mice and small rodents
• Clean up fallen fruit and carrion

Most problems happen when they feel trapped or when pets get too close.

If one has settled under your deck or shed, humane exclusion and prevention is the safest, long-term solution for everyone.

🐾 Mating Season Is Underway — Here’s What That Means For Your Property
Late winter into early spring is active breeding season for many common local wildlife species. Increased movement now can mean denning or nesting soon.
Here’s what’s happening:

🦊 Foxes – Mating: January–February
🐺 Coyotes – Mating: January–March
🐭 Mice – Breed year-round (peaks in fall & spring)
🦇 Bats – Mating occurs in fall, but females form maternity colonies in spring (May–June)
🐦 Birds – Nest building begins March–May (species dependent)

What this means for homeowners:
✔ More roaming activity
✔ Den & nesting site scouting
✔ Increased attic, shed & roofline interest
✔ Territorial behaviour

If you’re noticing:
• Scratching or movement
• Droppings
• Strong odours
• Roof or soffit damage
• Animals frequenting your yard

Now is the time to inspect and secure entry points — before babies arrive.
