1. All pieces are cleaned to remove any grease or stains.
2. Everything is primed twice with a stain blocking primer and sanded between coats. This step has two main purposes, firstly to seal the pieces and fill any grain, and secondly to provide a base for the lacquer to grip to. Many of our competitors use substandard primer which results in the finish peeling over time. We take the time to properly prepare all pieces to ensure our finish is long lasting. If an issue should arise we will refinish the offending pieces. As a family run business our reputation surpasses everything else. We will do our utmost to ensure our product lives up to our promises.
3. Imperfections and dents are filled with either a wood filler or a spackling agent.
4. Three coats of lacquer are applied while sanding between each coat with an increasing sandpaper grit. Attention to detail is of the utmost importance to us. Our lead applicator has over 20 years experience in the industry and a strong eye for details.
5. Once the doors have passed our lead applicator's inspection they are reinstalled by our trained professionals and leveled by our cabinet maker.
