Breaking Ground, Building Hope 💙
IMC was honoured to join Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice, community leaders, supporters and project partners to celebrate the official groundbreaking of The Williamson House in Jarvis.
This important milestone marks an exciting step forward in bringing a much-needed residential hospice to the Norfolk and Haldimand communities-a place that will provide compassionate, dignified end-of-life care while offering comfort and support to individuals and their families when they need it most.
Once complete, The Williamson House will feature 10 dedicated hospice palliative care bedrooms, creating a welcoming, home-like environment where individuals can receive care close to home.
As Construction Manager, IMC is incredibly proud to be part of the team helping bring this meaningful project to life. We look forward to working alongside NHCH, NEO Architecture Inc., and the broader community as we move into the next chapter and prepare for construction.
Projects like this are about so much more than bricks and mortar. They are about people, compassion, community and creating spaces that truly make a difference.

It was a privilege to join the celebration marking the fifth anniversary of Margaret’s Place Hospice - a meaningful milestone for a facility IMC was honoured to build.
Seeing the lasting impact Margaret’s Place has had on individuals and families is a powerful reminder that hospice construction is about far more than bricks and mortar. It is about creating warm, peaceful spaces where people can receive compassionate care, comfort and dignity.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are also incredibly proud to soon be breaking ground on two more important local hospice projects: Keaton’s House – Paul Paletta Children’s Hospice and the Williamson House for Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice.
We are grateful for the opportunity to help bring these much-needed facilities to life and to continue building spaces that will provide care and support to families throughout our communities for generations to come.

We recently had the honour of celebrating a truly special moment in Ira McDonald Construction’s history.
Larry McDonald (posthumously), Dale McDonald, and Wynn McDonald joined their father - our Founder - Ira, and were inducted into the Hamilton-Halton Construction Association Hall of Fame, a well-deserved recognition of their decades of leadership and lasting impact on our company, our industry, and our community.
Their dedication, wisdom, and commitment to excellence helped not only shape IMC into what it is today, but the local construction community as a whole.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone and grateful to the Hamilton-Halton Construction Association and Masters Insurance for this meaningful recognition.
Congratulations to the McDonald family on this very special honour. Their legacy continues to guide our team as we build on 85 years of history and look forward to what the future holds.
