It's been a busy summer with a lot of little jobs and one big one. Now that many are wrapped up it's time to catch up on posts. This Tudor home needed a refresh so we painted it to match the colours of the new garage we're building for them.

Well... It was months in the making and stressed the patience of my ever tolerant wife but the staircase is finally done. All in quartersawn white oak with 7' newel posts capped with handmade lanterns and stained to match the upstairs floors. Thanks to Lucky for putting in his share of the effort and to Chris Marshal for his time and advice. I think it turned out well... Now onto the matching chandelier :)

Sure, we've done a lot of renovations in the last few months but it's projects like this custom bar that I enjoy the most. The frame is all quartersawn white oak and the clients were delighted.
