Last month, our team had a busy few weeks in BC, with site tours, engagement activities, conferences, and meetings. But they also made sure to enjoy a little of what makes BC so beautiful, from visiting the impressive W.A.C. Bennett Dam hydroelectric plant to enjoying the scenery, doing some crochet and spotting some local "wildlife" 🐈😀

We love seeing our team work hard to move our renewable energy projects forward while also taking a little time to enjoy the moments in between.

Work, adventure, and some beautiful views along the way!

Happy Friday, everyone! ⛰️

Fall is on its way. So are the Minas Highlands blades!!! 🍂

Our first blade arrived this week and we’re very excited to see the project moving forward. The Minas Highlands Wind Project will feature ENERCON 4.2 MW E-138 EP3 turbines, with 68-metre-long blades. Tower sections are being delivered from the Port of Halifax, while WEC components are arriving from the Port of Liverpool.

It’s exciting to see these large components arrive and the project take shape against Nova Scotia's beautiful fall colours.

A big thank you to our on-site team, transportation partners and everyone involved for the great coordination, teamwork and hard work behind the scenes. It takes many people working together to make a delivery like this happen safely and smoothly.

We can’t wait to see the next blade arrive!

Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and take time to reflect on the history and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. It is also a reminder of our shared responsibility to keep learning, listening and building respectful relationships.

As a company working on the land and with Indigenous communities, we recognize the importance of listening, valuing partnerships and building relationships based on respect, trust and understanding.

To honour the day, we held a documentary screening for employees to watch and learn together. We also had an orange beadwork activity, drawing on paper for employees to share their reflections on what the day means to them.

We know that reconciliation is not something that happens in one day. It is an ongoing journey that requires continued learning, respect, and action.
We encourage everyone to take time to reflect on what reconciliation means to them and how we can all help move it forward through the work we do and the relationships we build.

Every year, we make sure we don’t miss the Atlantic Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium and this year was no exception.

This year was another great one, and we were happy to participate and sponsor, alongside many other great organizations in the energy sector. It was also great to see some wonderful Indigenous performances. It was a meaningful way to remind us of the importance of Indigenous voices and perspectives in the energy industry.

We also had the opportunity to have a booth and share more about Natural Forces, the work we do and some of our upcoming projects across Atlantic Canada. It was great to meet new people, connect with others in the industry and share what we’re working on, catch up with familiar faces and have some really good conversations. Thanks, Austen Hughes Nikita Lakhanpal Kellan Duke for representing Natural Forces at the event.

This conference always offers so much value: the knowledge that is shared, the speakers and topics, the conversations and the opportunity to connect with people working across the energy industry. Thank you to the ALIES team for putting together another great conference, and to everyone who stopped by our booth and took the time to connect with us. We were happy to be part of it!

So… where would you choose to spend your last day of an internship? 👀 For our construction interns, the answer was simple: on the top of the wind turbine! ⚡

On their last day, our construction interns headed up to Benjamins Mill Wind Project T4 to take in the view and admire the work they’ve been part of. Fully safety-geared up, they took a moment to reflect on their experiences and see just how much goes into bringing a wind project to life.

Thank you J.D. O'Brien and Jason Bayer, Wishing you all the best in what comes next and thank you for all your hard work, enthusiasm and willingness to jump in and help along the way!

We’d say that’s one way to end an internship on a high note!

And we’re getting ready to build again! Phase 2 on the way⚡
We’ve been busy moving projects forward on both sides of the Atlantic and we’re excited to introduce our latest update from Canada: the Minas Highlands Wind Project, Phase 2 of the Benjamins Mill Wind Project in Nova Scotia.

Located in the West Hants Regional Municipality, 14 km southwest of Windsor, the project consists of three turbines at the same site as the existing eight-turbine Benjamins Mill Wind Project. With construction already underway, deliveries of the project’s major components are expected to begin soon.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received throughout Benjamins Mill Wind Project Phase 1. The encouragement and support from the local community, our partners, the province and everyone involved have meant a great deal to us.

Now, we’re excited to carry that momentum forward into Phase 2, together with our partners at Minas Basin Pulp And Power Company Limited. We’re excited to build on that strong foundation as we move forward with Phase 2! 🌱⚡

We’ll be sharing more updates as the project moves forward, so keep your eyes open for what’s coming next!

🍀 The first wind turbine blade has arrived on site! 🚛🎉

We are excited to share this major milestone for Tullyhaw Wind Farm as construction progresses and the project continues to take shape. The arrival of this impressive blade, from ENERCON’s E138 EP3 E3 turbine, marks another important step forward.

What makes this delivery especially interesting is how the blade is being transported. Instead of the standard blade trailer, a special blade lifter is being used, allowing the blade to be carefully transported along the route and through challenging sections.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the ongoing planning, logistics, and transportation of the project deliveries. Delivering these components safely requires a lot of coordination and teamwork from everyone working behind the scenes. We’d also like to thank the local communities for their patience and understanding while these deliveries are ongoing.

Seeing these huge turbine components arrive on site is an exciting reminder that Tullyhaw Wind Farm is becoming a reality!!! This project is another step forward for renewable energy in Ireland and a cleaner and more sustainable future.

We can’t wait to see the turbines rise above the landscape!

Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the official grand opening of the Benjamins Mill Wind Project, a significant milestone for renewable energy in Nova Scotia and a testament to the power of strong partnerships.

The ceremony began with an opening prayer by Elder Joe Michael, followed by a powerful drum song performed by Councillor Brian Knockwood. These meaningful traditions set a respectful tone for the celebration and highlighted the importance of Indigenous culture, partnership, and our connection to the land.

The ceremony also featured inspiring remarks from @ Crystal Nicholas, President of Wskijinu’k Mtmo’taqnuow Agency (WMA), Simran Sahota, CPA, CA, Director Asset Management at Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada | Logement, Infrastructures et Collectivités Canada MLA Damian Stoilov , and Robert Apold, Principal at Natural Forces. Their thoughtful messages highlighted the importance of collaboration, Indigenous partnerships, and our shared commitment to advancing renewable energy and building a more sustainable future. Although MP Kody Blois was unable to attend due to a last-minute change to his travel schedule, we were honoured to share his supportive remarks on behalf of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).

A heartfelt thank you to , Indigenous Services Canada | Services aux Autochtones Canada, K-Line Construction Ltd., Martin Up Consulting Inc and all other contractors, partners, community members, and representatives from government who attended the celebration. Your presence helped make this milestone event truly memorable.

We are grateful for hard work, dedication, and support from EVERYONE who played a role in bringing the Benjamins Mill Wind Project to life!!!

What a beautiful day to host the Honourable Minister Tim Halman, Deputy Minister Lora MacEachern, K.C. MLA Hants West K.C. Melissa Sheehy-Richard and the rest of the team at the Benjamins Mill Wind Project.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the project and to discuss the important role renewable energy will continue to play in Nova Scotia's energy future.

We had valuable conversations about the province's growing clean energy sector, the opportunities and challenges ahead, and how projects like Benjamins Mill can help support Nova Scotia's transition to a more sustainable energy system. We also discussed the importance of strong partnerships between Indigenous communities, government, and local stakeholders in advancing responsible renewable energy development.

Thank you, Minister Halman and team, for taking the time to visit the site and learn more about the project and the positive impact renewable energy can have on communities across the province. A great way to end the week!
