From Closet to Powder Room
Need an extra bathroom but think you don't have the space? Look at your closets.
This tiny arched closet had a lovely octagon window and not much else. Now it's a fully functioning powder room, and it still has plenty of character.
What made it work:
1- Wall-mounted sink. A slim, compact basin saves floor space and keeps the room feeling open.
2 - Beadboard wainscoting in a deep mauve. It adds warmth and texture, and it protects the walls from splashes.
3 - Statement lighting and a round wood mirror. The warm glow makes a small space feel intentional, not cramped.
4 - Original octagon window. We kept it! Natural light and a one-of-a-kind detail you can't buy.
5 - Hardwood floors carried through. The room feels connected to the rest of the home.
The best part? You don't need to add on to your house. Under-stair spaces, hall closets, and unused nooks can often become a bathroom with the right plan.
