Sawlor Built Homes

It takes an incredible team to build a custom home, and we're grateful to partner with trades who care as much about quality as we do. Thanks to Eastern Gutter Workx for the feature and for the craftsmanship you bring to every project. 👏

Sometimes black-and-blue isn’t a bad thing … take this project by the amazing crew Sawlor Built Homes for example 💙🖤

Yesterdays blue sky was the perfect backdrop for this modern, all-black,
custom build to really pop 😮‍💨

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a thousand times, getting to be a small part of a clients home build/renovation process isn’t something we ever take for granted. We’re so lucky to get to meet amazing people, and work on incredible spaces!

Bringing a dream home to life is in the details.

It takes thoughtful planning, skilled craftsmanship and a team that understands how every piece of a home comes together. Designed for entertaining and built to embrace life in Nova Scotia, this custom home is a reflection of the people who call it home — and the vision that started it all.

Craftsmanship matters. Especially when you're building something this personal. 🏡

You'll find this incredible home added to our Gallery of Homes soon. Stay tuned for the complete album — there's so much more to see✨

A home designed with purpose. Built for generations.

We're excited to share the full tour of this beautiful custom lakefront home for the very first time!

Designed around our clients' lifestyle and built to Net Zero standards, every detail was thoughtfully considered—from its modern architecture and solar technology to the way each space connects with the surrounding waterfront.

This project reflects what we're passionate about: creating homes that are beautiful, energy efficient, and built to stand the test of time.

Site visit + a stop at Masstown Market 🍲

Our project manager, Kevin, says it’s the best soup in town… we’re not arguing.

Snow’s melted, site is clean, and progress is rolling. This one’s coming together nicely—memories will be made here soon. (With a few Masstown stops along the way 😉)

Have you been? What’s your go-to?

We’re incredibly proud to share that Keith Sawlor was recently honoured with the Leo Senz Lifetime Achievement Award at the Kohltech Peak Awards.

What began in 1969 with Doug and Melva Sawlor has grown into a three-generation family company built on hard work, integrity, and doing right by our clients.

Keith shared a short reflection on the journey, the people who made it possible, and what this recognition means to him.

For more than four decades, families across Nova Scotia have trusted us to build homes where their lives unfold — and we’re grateful for every one of those relationships.

Last night was a special evening at the Kohltech Peak Awards!

We are honoured to have received the Most Outstanding Energy Efficient New Home award for our Net Zero Fall River Project.

The most meaningful moment of the evening was celebrating Keith Sawlor, who was presented with the Leo Senz Lifetime Achievement Award. Watching the room stand to honour and celebrate him was truly incredible. After more than four decades dedicated to building homes and relationships across Nova Scotia, it was a well-deserved recognition, and we couldn’t be more proud.

A sincere thank you to Crystal at Canadian Home Builders' Association Nova Scotia and the entire Peak Awards team for putting together such a fantastic evening celebrating the greatness in our industry.
And thank you to our clients, friends, trade partners, and industry colleagues who are part of this journey with us.

👀 This property is about to look completely different.

🚧 We're getting started on this Halifax site, clearing way for a custom home designed around the land, the light and the lifestyle of the homeowners. More to come as progress unfolds!
