Happy to be part of this year‘s Hospital Activity Book for Children and Make-A-Wish Canada. The Hospital Activity Book for Children works in partnership with Make-A-Wish Canada and has been running for a little over 30 years! Their activity books are a free gift to the children that are packed full of games, puzzles, coloring pages, and word searches. Not only are our books created to bring joy, but they also have some educational pages as well. They want children who are going through traumatic situations to know that their doctors, nurses, and social workers are there to help them and keep them safe. It’s a small gift but it makes a big difference to the kids by brightening their day and they always get wonderful feedback from the nurses and doctors.

At Braun Custom Builds, we believe we aren’t just building structures: we’re building relationships. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a project come together perfectly, and that only happens when everyone is rowing in the same direction!

“Island Time!” 🏝️🛠️

Building in Cottage Country is never just “another day at the office,” especially when you’re working on a water-access project on an island. To boot, this one is entirely on rock!

Our incredible team has been battling through all the complexities that come with remote island builds: navigating the cottage roads, water-access logistics, extreme humidity, rain, and the local bug population. 🦟⛈️ But despite the challenges, we’re making serious moves.

We’ve officially completed the floor system and the decks, including all the deck boards. The entire deck is currently covered for protection as we patiently wait for the log delivery. 🪵✨

Because of this remote island location, the next phase is going to be a show-stopper—all materials will be flown in by helicopter! 🚁 Once they land, we’ll start setting the walls and watching this beautiful cottage really take shape.

Stay tuned for more updates and some exciting video as we watch this project come to life!
