When should you close your pool for the season?

The answer isn't necessarily, "As soon as September ends."
If you're still enjoying the pool and the weather is cooperating, there's no reason to close simply because the calendar says fall has arrived.

But once you're finished swimming, you also don't want the pool sitting neglected while temperatures continue to fall.

Until closing day:
✓ Keep the water circulating
✓ Maintain your water chemistry
✓ Stay ahead of leaves and debris
✓ Keep an eye on overnight temperatures
✓ Make sure your closing is scheduled before colder weather becomes a problem

The best closing date depends on the weather, your pool and how long you plan to keep using it.
