April 28 marks the National Day of Mourning in Canada. It is a time to remember workers who have been killed, injured, or made ill on the job, and to renew our commitment to safer workplaces.

In 2023 alone, 1,057 workers lost their lives, with thousands more impacted by workplace injuries and illness. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a community forever changed.

Today at 11 AM, NAC will pause in partnership with Threads of Life for reflection and remembrance. We also encourage participation in the Steps for Life 5KM Walk to support families affected by workplace tragedy.

Let’s honour those we’ve lost by continuing to prioritize safety, speak up about hazards, and support one another on April 28 and every day.

At NAC, our commitment to teamwork goes beyond the job site.

This 2025/26 hockey season, we were proud sponsors of both the U8 MD Cambridge Hawks and the U12 B Hespeler Shamrocks teams, teams that are close to our hearts 💚, including the sons of one of our own employees. Supporting our people means supporting their families, their passions, and the communities we’re all part of.

Who knows…maybe we’ll see these young athletes lacing up for the NAC hockey team one day.

Just like in hockey, success in construction is built on teamwork, skill, dedication, and a strong culture. That’s what drives us every day.

If you’re looking to build a meaningful career with a company that values its people on and off the field, we’re hiring!

Work hard, play hard is the NAC way 💚

Our NAC team recently headed out to Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna, BC for a well-earned ski getaway, and it did not disappoint. From the slopes to time spent together off the hill, it was a great reminder of the strong culture we’ve built across our teams.

NAC Alpine crew at its finest! ⛷️

We believe in working hard and playing hard and creating opportunities for our people to connect, recharge, and enjoy time together. Because strong teams aren’t just built on the job site, but in moments like these too.

NAC is proud to sponsor our employees and their families. 💚

Pictured here is one of our employees’ daughters with the Kitchener Lady Rangers, a great example of how community sports create opportunities for youth to participate, grow their skills, build confidence, and develop lifelong teamwork values.

Supporting initiatives like this means a lot to us, as it reflects the strong connection we have to the people behind our projects. We’re honoured to support the next generation, both on and off the ice.

As we continue building and improving infrastructure across Canada, we’re also growing our team. If you’re looking to be part of a company that values its people and their communities, we’d love to hear from you.

Big shoutout to Colin on hitting his 5-year milestone with NAC!

Colin started his journey as an apprentice and put in the work to complete his Mobile Crane Apprenticeship. After passing his C of Q in the fall of 2024, he officially became a Journeyperson Mobile Crane Operator, which was a huge accomplishment!

It was awesome having so many of his teammates in the room to celebrate and congratulate him in person.

Thanks for everything you’ve contributed over the past five years, Colin we’re glad to have you on the team and excited to see what’s next!
