⚡ A co-op placement can open a door. For Thomas and Alexis, it opened the door to a future in the skilled trades.

Both joined Craig Hunter Electric through the Gravenhurst High School Co-operative Education program. Both impressed us enough to earn a place on the team.

Thomas completed his placement with us this spring and was hired for the summer. As he prepares to begin Grade 12, he credits the CHE team with taking the time to teach him real skills, build his confidence and confirm that the electrical trade is where he wants to be.

Alexis began her journey through the OYAP and co-op programs several years ago, and she has been with us ever since. She has now completed two levels of apprenticeship schooling, gained experience across residential, commercial and backup power projects, and is working toward becoming a licensed electrician in 2028.

GHS Co-operative Education teacher Jacki McPherson describes CHE as a longtime partner that makes students part of the daily work, teaches them to stay safe and helps them build strong foundations for their careers.

We’re proud of Thomas and Alexis, grateful for our partnership with GHS and honoured to play a role in developing the next generation of local tradespeople. The future is looking bright!

😊🏒 Seeing this many happy kids on the ice is the best thank-you we could ask for!

The Muskoka Summer Hockey School has wrapped up two fantastic weeks of camp, and Craig Hunter Electric is incredibly grateful to have played a small part as a sponsor.

Thank you to the organizers, coaches, volunteers and families who created such a welcoming and professionally run experience for these young players. The care behind the program is easy to see in every photo, especially in all those smiles.
