Job Description:

Moody Contracting & Aggregate Ltd. is a growing, locally owned gravel and aggregate company based in Bezanson, Alberta. We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual to join our team and grow with us long term.

This is a hands-on position that includes gravel pit and aggregate operations during early spring - late fall season, with snow removal operations during the winter months. Winter work includes on-call snow removal, depending on weather conditions. We are looking for someone who values reliability, is flexible during winter months, and is interested in building a long-term role within a growing company.

Responsibilities:

• General gravel pit and yard duties
• Assisting with aggregate production and loading operations
• Operating equipment as trained, including (but not limited too) loaders, excavators, and skid steers
• On-call snow removal during winter months, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required by snowfall events
• Basic equipment inspections and maintenance assistance
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized worksite year-round
• Working alongside operators and management as part of a team

Assets (Not Required but Strongly Valued):

• Mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, or skid steers
• Snow removal or on-call work experience
• Previous gravel pit, construction, or oilfield experience

Requirements:

• Dependable and punctual
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to respond reliably to on-call snow events during winter months
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very active on social media, but I'm committed to improving!

Since launching this page, we've made significant progress, from getting a stockpile of crushed gravel to completing major reclamation and cleanup projects. We've also constructed a new, safer access road in the pit, added a scale shack, and expanded our services to better assist our customers with home projects (stay tuned for more details 😉).

After the incredibly busy summer/fall season tackling a never-ending to-do list that's always growing, the winter season, although not over yet, has also been extremely busy with snow removal, lot sanding, and even some gravel sales (yes, in January - who would've thought?).

Even though we are open for business, as we look ahead to spring, we're excited to make our mark as the new player in the aggregate sales market. We're committed to offering services that no other aggregate company in our area provides and introducing additional outsourced materials to our already extensive list to help you with your projects. Our goal is to be your go-to source for all your aggregate and landscaping material needs.
