Summer has arrived, and so has our busiest season.
Our team is working as quickly as we can to help every homeowner who calls. We appreciate your patience while our technicians work through a high volume of service requests.
While you are waiting for your appointment, here are a few things that may help keep your home cooler:
Open the vents in your basement. Cool air naturally settles in the basement, and opening those vents helps your system circulate that cooler air throughout your home.
Change your furnace filter. A dirty filter restricts airflow, making it harder for your air conditioner to move cool air where it needs to go.
Check your fresh air intake. Remove leaves, cottonwood, or even a bee hive if it is safe to do so. Blocked intakes can affect airflow and system performance.
Move furniture away from your return air vents. Your HVAC system needs to pull air back to the furnace so it can cool it again. Blocking return vents makes the system work harder.
Close your drapes or blinds during the hottest part of the day. Keeping direct sunlight out helps your air conditioner maintain a more comfortable indoor temperature.
These simple steps may improve comfort while you wait, and they also help your HVAC system operate more efficiently.
