This commission piece is special to me in a couple of ways. It was created for a family member, and the barn belonged to her grandparents’ farm — a place filled with memories and meaning.
Aside from the size (20x24), I was given complete creative freedom. Since she’s a photographer who displays black-and-white photography throughout her living room, I knew right away I wanted this piece to live in that same feeling — soft greyscale tones with subtle splashes of color to draw the eye and keep the warmth of the story alive.

One of my favourite parts of painting is seeing the reaction when someone connects emotionally to a piece. Her reaction to this one was honestly one of the best. 💛

It meant so much to be asked to create these murals for the amazing ladies at Elevate Beauty. They came to me with a vision close to their hearts, and together we shaped it into something even more meaningful. With every brushstroke, I could feel the passion they pour into their space, and it inspired me to bring my very best to their walls.
Seeing the final pieces come to life was truly special—and knowing they trusted me to help tell their story through art is something I’m deeply grateful for. I can’t wait to create the next mural for these incredible women. Stay tuned… 🎨
