🦌🍂 WILDLIFE ON THE MOVE — STAY ALERT BEHIND THE WHEEL! 🚗
Fall is here, and with it comes an increased risk of wildlife encounters on our roads. As the days get shorter and wildlife becomes more active, it's important to stay alert and drive with extra caution.
⚠️ Tips for Safe Driving:
Watch for Wildlife: Deer, moose, and other animals are especially active around dawn and dusk.
Slow Down: Reduce your speed in wildlife-prone areas, especially where visibility is limited.
Scan the Roadside: Watch for movement along ditches, tree lines, and shoulders. If you see one animal, there may be more nearby!
Use Your High Beams: When safe and appropriate, use high beams to improve visibility on dark roads.
Brake, Don't Swerve: If an animal suddenly appears, brake firmly while maintaining control of your vehicle. Swerving can lead to a more serious collision.
Stay Focused: Avoid distractions and give yourself extra time to react.
Remember: Wildlife can be unpredictable. Staying alert and adjusting your driving habits could prevent a serious collision.
Arriving safely is always more important than arriving quickly.
