Our hearts and minds are with all those affected by the wildfires across British Columbia, especially the communities of Summerland and Faulder after such a tragic weekend.
Like so many businesses and organizations across BC, Boundary Electric is made up of people who have experienced the impacts of wildfire personally, or who have watched friends and family face evacuation, loss, and uncertainty. Tragedies like this will always hit close to home and remind us how quickly life can change. They also remind us just how deeply connected our communities are.
To the firefighters, first responders, pilots, and emergency crews working tirelessly to protect our communities and forests: thank you. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice cannot be overstated.
For weeks now, we’ve watched our own neighbours at BC Wildfire Service working around the clock coordinating wildfire response helicopters out of Grand Forks. We see you, and we appreciate you.
And to the volunteers, organizations, local businesses, and neighbours stepping up to support evacuees across the province by providing shelter, meals, supplies, care, and a helping hand when it is needed most—thank you for showing what community truly means.
To everyone who has been displaced, is facing loss, or is anxiously watching and waiting, we are thinking of you.
Please stay safe, look out for one another, and continue to support the communities affected wherever you can. ❤️
