Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the Canadian Armed Forces, their families, first responders, and everyone
affected by the tragic explosion and fire at CFB Wainwright, Alberta. Reports indicate there have been fatalities and numerous injuries, making this a devastating day for Canada's military community. 
We extend our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and wish a full and speedy recovery to those injured. We are grateful for the courage and dedication of the emergency personnel and medical teams responding to this tragedy. 
Please keep all those affected in your thoughts during this difficult time.

At Paul Davis Central Newfoundland, we’re proud to recognize and support the incredible work being done by our local fire departments during Fire Prevention Week — October 4–10, 2026.

This year, both Bishop’s Falls Fire Rescue and Grand Falls-Windsor Fire Rescue are inviting our communities to get involved, learn about fire safety, and see firsthand what our firefighters do to help keep us safe.
