I’m Jesse from Anchor Home Improvement, and I’ve been painting homes for over 20 years on and off.

I actually started out in drywall and acoustics, then moved into painting because I like seeing a space completely transformed when the job’s done. Over the years I took a break to focus on music, then came back, brought my wife‑to‑be to Canada and started the first version of this business in Ontario.

About eleven years ago we moved to the West Coast to be closer to my younger brother, and we ended up falling in love with the Sunshine Coast. Since then I’ve been running Anchor here, working on everything from 100‑year‑old house renovations to detailed paint and wallpaper jobs that really test your attention to detail.

I’m a casual, honest, friendly guy who cares a lot about doing right by people. Around here, communication and punctuality can be a real issue, so I focus hard on clear timelines, showing up when I say I will, and keeping clients in the loop. I also keep my standards high on prep and finish so you get quality work that still feels affordable.

Painting is my main focus, but it often leads into other helpful jobs for the same clients. I’ve got an eagle eye for problems that might cause issues later, and I’d rather point them out and help you fix them than just “get the paint on and go.” I also enjoy collaborating with other local trades, like the red seal cabinet maker I’m working with this month.
