🛁 A little more than a bathroom refresh!

This recent Sunshine Coast project started with a tired bathroom that needed some attention, and as renovations sometimes go, there was quite a bit more hiding beneath the surface!

Out came the old bathtub, tile, vanity, toilet, and several layers of flooring. From there, we worked through some framing and plumbing adjustments before installing a new bathtub and surround, luxury vinyl plank flooring, vanity, toilet, and fresh wall finishes.

I particularly like how the white beadboard and wood-look flooring complement all that beautiful natural light coming through the windows and skylight.

It’s always satisfying to see a room come back together, especially when it’s the only bathroom in the house!

There’s still a little finishing touch to come, as the homeowners have opted to take care of the final painting themselves.

A big thank-you to my clients for trusting me with their home and being so patient throughout the renovation. It was a pleasure bringing this space back to life! 😄

A simple bathroom update can make a pretty big difference.

This Gibsons bathroom was ready for a refresh. The old tub and tile surround came out and were replaced with a new tub and easy-to-maintain surround, along with updated plumbing fixtures, a new toilet, lighting and improved ventilation.

Nothing extravagant—just a brighter, cleaner and more practical bathroom that should serve the homeowners well for years to come.

It’s been a very busy summer for Josh the Handyman, which apparently means I’ve also been very bad at remembering to post any of the work. 😂

A good reminder that the most important part of a repair isn’t always what you can see.

From the outside, this staircase looked worn but reasonably intact. Once it was opened up, however, significant rot was discovered in the supporting structure and where it connected to the house.

The deteriorated material was removed, the staircase was rebuilt properly, and the existing metal railing was reinstalled to complete the job.

The finished result looks much better—but more importantly, it’s solid, safe, and ready for many more years of use.

Spring is around the corner, but everything outside is still covered in winter grime.
